Overview

The Imperial and Corndel Data Engineer Programme is one of four Data Academy courses, designed to equip staff with the digital skills and technical proficiency needed to succeed in their current work roles. This programme is available to Imperial staff who already have a strong data analytics foundation and want to develop more specialised knowledge and skills in data engineering. The course will:

  • Develop skills in building and optimising data pipelines.
  • Provide knowledge in managing various data storage solutions and processing data in different formats.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of key analytics techniques.
  • Enable you to clearly communicate complex data engineering concepts to diverse audiences.

Delivered over twenty months through blended learning, this course includes sixteen hands-on workshops with expert data engineers, monthly 1-1 sessions with a coach, world-class interactive eLearning, and practical exercises involving data engineering tools. You will also attend a masterclass programme delivered by Imperial College academics and learn about the analytics and technologies that are rapidly coming over the horizon to impact how you do your job.
