When are the sessions running?
- Technical new starters: 20 October 2026, 09.30-11.00 (South Kensington)
- Professional Services new starters are encouraged to attend Professional Services discussions. Operational Services new starters are encouraged to join one of the many staff networks as part of their induction and as they settle into life at Imperial.

Overview
The Learning and Talent team is pleased to launch a new series of 'Welcome to Imperial Induction sessions' for new starters from each job family. These 90-minute sessions will run once per term and are intended to supplement the standard Imperial Insights induction programme, which all new staff are encouraged to attend.
These short, interactive sessions will be offered to Academic, Technical, Professional and Operational staff as individual staff groups.
These new termly induction workshops are intended to help new colleagues understand "what it's really like to be an academic/technician/professional services colleague in this institution" and to provide practical information on how they can get off to the best start at Imperial.
The sessions will be delivered by experienced staff from each job family. Staff who have joined Imperial in the last couple of years will also join us to share their perspectives.
These workshops will provide a valuable networking opportunity for new staff, enhancing their sense of welcome and belonging.
