About us
Charing Cross Campus Library has around 270 study spaces which all have power sockets, and 30 PCs, spread across three study zones: silent, whisper and collaborative.
We also have six bookable booths, four bookable solo pods and three bookable group study rooms.
The PCs, available for all library users including NHS staff, are connected to the Imperial network. We have three colour printer-copiers for A4 or A3 paper. These can also scan to email. Imperial Wi-Fi is available to all registered library users.
Our collection covers general medicine, including medical textbooks, as well as nursing and professions allied to medicine. We also have a collection of non-clinical and fiction titles.
Bookable spaces
Collaborative booths
Six booths are located in the collaborative study zone. Each seats up to four people with power sockets and USB charging ports available within each booth. Bookings are limited to one session of up to four hours per day and can be booked via Library bookings.
Solo pods
Four solo pods are located in the collaborative study zone, which are suitable for attending online meetings or using speech to text software without disturbing other library users. Pods are for solo occupancy only and have adjustable seating, ventilation and lighting as well as a power socket and USB charging points. Bookings are limited to one session of up to two hours per day and can be booked via Library bookings.
Study rooms
We have three study rooms in the library for use when not pre-booked for tutorials, seminars or staff meetings. The rooms are intended for group study, group work or practicing presentations. Rooms seat up to 10, have a presentation screen linked to an Imperial PC and have power sockets. Bookings are restricted to one per day, for a maximum of two hours, up to three times a week.

Priority desks
Students registered with the Disability Advisory Service can book a priority desk at Charing Cross Campus Library via Library bookings.
Two priority desks are available. They are located in the silent study zone close to the library enquiry desk and are all electronically height-adjustable with an Imperial networked PC, power socket and USB charging ports. Each desk has a sticker indicating that it is a priority desk, and that the user may be asked to give up the space to someone with a booking.
