Senem Nalbantoglu – MBA 2010

I work with a small team to give the successful but not very well known bands publicity. I and my three music authors review albums, interview artists, share photos, videos and podcasts. We also write about and interview very well-known artists to attract and keep the regular music followers’ attention, also to pay tribute to the masters of the rock and roll scene.

The webzine was founded in March 2012 and I have already built up a team of 4 who are from different backgrounds, who have varying skills, tastes and knowledge in music. My zine is getting thousands of hits every day and we are growing fast as every new band lets us tap into a whole new fan-base.

I have been building great relationships with very important artists from the 70s and 80s and with their support it has enabled me to secure interviews with legendary musicians. I am now looking into growing my team to be able to meet the demand I am getting from bands every single day.

We focus on particular genres to create our own competitive advantage in the industry. Our followers know what to expect from us and never get disappointed. We are using social media in the most efficient way to support our business and have a lot of creative revenue generating ideas to build a sound business model.

I started this zine to pursue my passion in music and as I learnt during my MBA studies at Imperial College, success follows passion and hard work.
