University contracts teams are charged with negotiating within the framework of the University's terms and conditions.
The University 's Preferred Terms and Conditions (T&C) for Research reflect the preferred contractual terms for each of the key parameters in a research contract eg Publication, IP, Payment terms etc).
The Preferred T&C are designed to maximise the benefit to the University in terms of research outcomes and to protect the academic freedom of the research investigator and to minimise financial and reputational risk.
