Continuing students

Explore the options available for living in halls beyond the first year.

The majority of our halls of residence are only available for undergraduate students in their first year. However, there are a few options if you are a continuing undergraduate student and wish to remain living in halls.

Apply for 2026/27

Applications will open on Friday 13 March and close on Friday 27 March. As long as you apply within the application window, your application will be considered.

Some rooms are reserved for students with specific financial eligibility criteria or particular circumstances. After these rooms have been allocated, any remaining rooms will be offered through a lottery system.

To keep the process fair and give everyone an equal opportunity to secure a place in halls, continuing student accommodation must be applied for each year and, where offered, is provided on a 39-week contract.

If you are currently living in Scape or Evelyn Garden, you will need to reapply. Please note that all applications are considered equally each year, and current residents are not guaranteed a place.

Private Housing Exhibition 2026

Before applications open, come along to our Private Housing Event on Wednesday 4 February to talk to our team about all the accommodation options available to you, including continuing in halls and private housing.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet private hall providers, local agents, landlords and other service providers from across London, and speak to the Student Accommodation Office, who will be on hand to answer your questions and support you through every stage of your private housing journey.
