Head of the Department of Finance

Alexander Michaelides, Professor of Finance, joined the Business School in 2013. He is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (International Macroeconomics and Financial Economics Programmes), the Center for Financial Studies in Frankfurt, and the Network for Studies on Pensions, Aging and Retirement in the Netherlands.

Tommaso Valletti

Head of the Department of Economics & Public Policy

Tommaso Valletti, Professor of Economics, has served as Chief Competition Economist of the European Commission (Directorate General for Competition) since 2016. Previously, Professor Valletti was the Director of the PhD Programme at Imperial College Business School. His main research interests are in industrial economics, regulation, and telecommunications economics. Professor Valletti is a Fellow of CEPR and ENCORE as well as a member of the panel of academic advisors to Ofcom, the UK communications regulator.

Maurizio Zollo

Head of the Department of Management

Maurizio Zollo, Professor of Strategy & Sustainability and Director of the Leonardo Centre, has been a visiting professor at MIT’s management science group since 2012. A past president of the European Academy of Management, he is a Fellow of the Strategic Management Society and Editor-in-Chief of Organisation & Environment. Professor Zollo's research is best known for his work on dynamic capabilities, studying how firms learn to manage acquisitions, alliances and complex transformational processes like the transition towards sustainable forms of enterprise.

Andreas Eisingerich

Head of the Department of Analytics, Marketing & Operations

Andreas Eisingerich, Professor of Marketing, is best known for his work on brand attachment, consumer engagement, service innovation, and digital marketing strategies. Professor Eisingerich is a reviewer for many academic journals, has served on the editorial board of Ernst & Young’s Performance magazine and manages a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-sponsored global pre-marketing research project together with the World Health Organization, UNAIDS, and the World Wildlife Fund. He is also Programme Director of the Full-Time and Weekend MBAs and was previously the Associate Head of the Management Department.
