Launched in 2010, EIT Climate-KIC aims to spark and deliver innovative and imaginative solutions to climate change via a dynamic alliance of European partners drawn from academia, industry and the public sector.

Working across Europe, EIT Climate-KIC organises its eduction, research and innovation activities around four broad themes:

  • Measuring climate change and managing its drivers
  • Water management
  • Low-carbon cities
  • Zero-carbon production

These are all areas where Imperial has crucial scientific and engineering excellence.

EIT Climate-KIC has five co-location centres that together support the wider community by hosting research, sponsoring collaboration, and incubating innovation. Additionally, six regional innovation communities led by public bodies, provide the test-beds and implementation opportunities for technology and policy.
