This is a course created by Dr David Clark and Professor Barbara Bain at St Mary’s Hospital, which has been running twice a year for more than 25 years. It is now taught by three experienced Haematopathologists, Dr David Clark, Dr Vishakha Sovani and Professor Barbara Bain.
It covers all aspects of interpretation of trephine biopsy sections. The course is microscopy-based with all cases being reviewed collectively. There are also several key lectures. Photographs of all cases, as well as PowerPoint presentations of lectures, are provided to the participants for the purpose of private study after the course.

Cancellation and transferral policy
Places are only allocated when payment has been received. Early booking is advised, particularly for the two-day course, as courses are often booked out. Please note that because of catering and course material expenses, cancellations received within two weeks of the course date will not receive a refund. Those who do cancel after that time may make their own arrangements for a replacement to attend. If cancellations are received more than 14 days before the course, a refund will be given after deduction of a handling charge.
