Options for ICSM Students: Autumn Term 2020-21
The School has sourced some accommodation options close to the South Kensington campus, with a variety of lengths of stay available. Some of these have a negotiated discount for ICSM students.
Residence Inn Kensington - Serviced Apartments
Based on 2 people sharing an apartment; therefore, potentially £300-325 per week per person
Option One: 12-Month Stay
Room Type:
One bedroom/ twin bedroom/ one bedroom with sofa bed suite
Room Rate:
£2,400 inc VAT per room per month ( minimum 6 months stay)
Cancellation Period:
30 days cancellation period prior to check-out. The same applies for the no show fee, failure to turn up will result in the first night charge.

Option Two: 7 Day+ Stay
Room Type:
One bedroom/ twin bedroom/ one bedroom with sofa bed suite
Room Rate:
£650.00 inc VAT per room per week
Cancellation Period:
7-day cancellation period prior to check-in, once that time lapses the first night will be charged as cancellation fee. The same applies for the no-show fee: failure to turn up will result in the first night charge.
In-Room Inclusions:
- Kitchenette including a stove, oven, fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, utensils and cleaning supplies
- Housekeeping service on request
- Living room including sofa, desk and smart TV
Complimentary Inclusions:
- Breakfast
- 24 hour unlimited self-laundry access
- 24 hour gym access ( see below)
- Living/Lounge Room with unlimited tea and coffee facilities (including take away options)
Please see below the service offered by the hotel until further notice:
- Breakfast – Grab and Go from 7am to 10am each morning
- Housekeeping – On request only, customers must request this
- Laundry Room – Available but social distancing is important, customers asked respectfully to wipe down the washer and dryer they used before departing
- Gym – Government guidelines state this should be closed until further notice
Note: Rate is based on the length of stay booked. Should the length of stay need to be amended, the room rate may change accordingly
The School has negotiated a reduced rate offer at a local hotel: Holiday Inn London, Kensington Forum, located on 97 Cromwell Road, London, SW7 4DN, United Kingdom next to Gloucester Road Station.
The hotel has previously been used by healthcare professionals and as such their health and safety protocols are appropriate for students on placements. All rooms are offered as an en-suite single occupancy with a once-weekly room service.
There are three options:

You can stay flexibly between 1-6 nights for £45 per night

You can stay for a 1-week period for £35 per night / £245 per week

You can stay between 1 and 3 months for £30 per night / £900 per month.

Next Steps
Should you wish to book a room, you will need to provide personal identification. This can take the form of photo identification sent virtually to the hotel or a quick MS Teams meeting to confirm your identity with a member of the FEO Welfare team.
We understand that your financial circumstances might mean that you cannot afford the full cost of the room. The School will be assessing each application individually via the application process for the School of Medicine Hardship Fund. So, if you are facing financial difficulties, please fill out the attached financial assessment form and note the maximum rent allowance you can afford in the rent box. Please return the completed form to feo.welfare@imperial.ac.uk.
