Who should attend?
This workshop is intended to assist Imperial academic and support staff to create and deliver accessible teaching and learning content.
Key areas
- An introduction to digital accessibility presented from the ICT Digital Accessibility Officer
- Guidance on how to support students and staff with their digital accessibility needs
- Technical training on how to create, amend and review content to meet accessibility standards in Blackboard using Anthology Ally
- Guidance on the use of ICT supported accessibility tools
- Accessibility Statements - what are they and where can they be found
- Group discussion on digital accessibility best practices in teaching delivery
Prerequisite
This is a face to face, interactive course that includes the use of Blackboard Learn; therefore a working knowledge of this platform is recommended. Please see the Introduction to Blackboard learn training course for more details on improving familiarity with Blackboard.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own device to the session to enable them to participate on Blackboard. A limited number of ICT loan laptops are available, however please inform the Digital Education team in advance if use of these is required.
