Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will have:
- A start point for discussion on accessibility practices in teaching and learning
- Developed a knowledge of the features and functionality of Anthology Ally in Canvas
- Explored additional digital accessibility tools offered by ICT.

Who should attend?
This workshop is intended to assist Imperial academic and professional services staff to create and deliver accessible teaching and learning content.
Key areas
- An introduction to digital accessibility presented from the ICT Digital Accessibility Officer
- Guidance on how to support students and staff with their digital accessibility needs
- Technical training on how to create, amend and review content to meet accessibility standards in Canvas using Anthology Ally
- Guidance on the use of ICT supported accessibility tools
- Accessibility Statements - what are they and where can they be found
- Group discussion on digital accessibility best practices in teaching delivery.
Prerequisite
This is an in-person, interactive course that includes the use of Canvas; a working knowledge of this platform is recommended. Please see the 'Introduction to Canvas' workshop for more details on improving familiarity with Canvas.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own device to the session to enable them to participate on Canvas.
