Eligibility criteria

The W L “Bill” Byrnes Global Scholarship has been established thanks to a generous donation by the Fidelity UK Foundation in memory of Bill Byrnes, who played a significant role in the development of Fidelity as an international investment management business.

The scholarship aims to support an academically brilliant student who can demonstrate that they have come from a financially disadvantaged background or are from the first generation in their family to attend university. One award of £30,000 is available to students joining the MSc Investment & Wealth Management programme.

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Application process

Candidates who submit their application for the MSc Investment & Wealth Management programme and receive an offer for the programme will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. A video assessment is required for this scholarship, and details will be communicated once an offer has been made.

Awards will be assessed from the initial deadline onwards, and you are therefore encouraged to submit your application as early as possible in order to maximise your chance of success. Awards may not be granted following every deadline, as all scholarships in this category may have been awarded in a previous round, or there may be insufficient eligible candidates in a round.
