Congratulations on your offer! What's next?

Find out your next steps

We've put together some key information to help you understand your offer, and the steps you need to take next.

You will also find information about accommodation, funding your studies and how to submit your offer conditions.

Next steps

1 – Accept your offer

Accept your offer through our online application portal, My Imperial, within 28 days of the full conditions being available. If your offer is conditional, you need to show evidence of meeting the criteria before we confirm your place.

If you received a conditional offer from Imperial, your offer letter will set out all the conditions you need to meet before we can confirm your place.

This may include evidence of academic grades and your proficiency in English language.

You will need to satisfy all of the conditions listed in your offer before you can register at Imperial.

2 – Pay a deposit

To secure your place for a Master’s (MSc, MRes or MBA) course with us, you need to pay a deposit. The deposit is 10% of the first-year course fee and will be deducted from the final balance. You’ll get all the information on how and when to pay sent to you in an email after you’ve accepted the offer.

We will usually send an invoice for the deposit by email within five working days after you have accepted your offer. This process is automated so you don't need to contact us to request an invoice.

You will need to pay the deposit within 30 days of the date of the invoice. The details of the amount to pay and the payment due date will be clearly shown on the invoice and in the accompanying email.

Departments may, on a case-by-case basis, agree to extend the payment term for deposits.

3 – Find accommodation

Feel settled and at home when you study with Imperial. Choose from GradPad’s postgraduate halls, our halls of residence at Silwood Park Campus or private accommodation. If you choose to go private, the best time to start looking for a place to live is between June and August.

Use our property search website to find properties and connect with other Imperial students looking for housemates with Imperial Home Solutions.
