Undergraduate students

Applicants to many Imperial departments need to sit an admissions test as part of their application.

We take your test performance into account alongside other elements of your UCAS application, such as your personal statement.

The test you will be required to take will depend on which Imperial department you are applying to.

The admissions test is a chance for you to show us:

  • your skills (for example, your mathematical problem-solving ability)
  • your subject knowledge
  • your understanding of topics related to your chosen course

Depending on the department you apply to, you may also be invited to an interview as part of the selection process.
