Before the programme begins you will complete online pre-study modules delivered through The Hub, Imperial College Business School’s virtual learning environment.
These modules will be available to students who have accepted an offer of admission from July onwards, and are designed to give you a basic knowledge of areas which will be covered by the programme throughout the academic year.
The core modules build rapidly on your previous experience, while introducing new and challenging disciplines. You will explore essential marketing topics and acquire the skills to be an effective strategic marketer in all areas of the profession.

Electives are your opportunity to truly shape the programme to your ambitions as a marketing leader. You will have the opportunity to tailor the programme to your career, accessing a wide range of electives as part of your programme.
Studying electives will allow you to develop domain expertise in the areas of your interest and broaden your understanding of how to solve business problems. You will choose six electives from a range of topics offered from the summer of the first year through to the spring term of the second year.

The programme culminates in a Work-Based Project or Case Study, and an Applied Strategic Marketing Report. These projects are your opportunity to synthesise all of your learnings in an applied way, applying your problem-solving skills in complex and challenging marketing situations.
Alternatively, if you wish to study a doctoral programme after this programme, you can opt to undertake the Individual Research Project instead of the Work-Based Project or Case Study and Applied Strategic Marketing Report.

If you are applying to the Business School, you may be considered for one course per admissions cycle. If you are applying for a Finance Master's, we will take your areas of interest and eligibility into account when considering you for alternative programmes.

If you are applying for a taught Master’s course, you will need to pay an application fee before submitting your application.
The fee applies per application and not per course:
- £100 for all MSc applications to Imperial College Business School
- £150 for MBA applications to Imperial College Business School
There is no application fee for MRes courses, Postgraduate Certificates, Postgraduate Diplomas or research courses, such as PhDs and EngDs.

An ATAS certificate is not required for students applying for this course.
£16,200 per year
If you're a UK national, or EU national with settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, you may be able to apply for a Postgraduate Master’s Loan from the UK government, if you meet certain criteria.
For 2022-23 entry, the maximum amount is £11,836. The loan is not means-tested and you can choose whether to put it towards your tuition fees or living costs.
