Eligibility criteria

Applicants should hold, or expect to receive, a first class or a good upper second-class Honours undergraduate degree (or equivalent). Those who have already studied at postgraduate level should hold, or expect to receive, a pass or above at Master's level. A Master's degree is only a requirement where an applicant holds a lower second class undergraduate degree.

Successful international candidates will be awarded an identical funding package as home candidates, with tuition fees covered at home level. Please note that for previous successful international students, the MultiSci team has been able to negotiate with the intended host departments regarding covering the international level tuition fees. When such an agreement is in place, the student is not required to seek or cover the cost of international tuition fees.

All successful candidates will be registered for the MRes at the beginning of year 1 and then registered separately for the PhD programme at the beginning of the PhD. Successful international candidates will, therefore, be required to apply for separate visas for the MRes and PhD programmes.

Unfortunately, the College cannot cover any of the costs associated with the separate visa applications.

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.
