Tracking your application online
All Undergraduate applications are made through UCAS. Therefore, you should monitor the progress of your application using UCAS Track.
Admission to the College is very competitive and we receive a large number of applications from excellent candidates. In order to ensure that all applicants receive equal consideration, it is often not possible to make a final decision on your application until after all applications have been received, by the 29 January 2021 deadline (this deadline was extended from 15 January following UK COVID-19 restriction announcements).
Once a decision has been made on your application, this will be reflected in UCAS Track. We aim to release all decisions to applicants by the end of March.
If you are made an offer
If you are made an offer of admission to the College, you will be asked to meet a set of conditions. These will predominately be based on your current qualifications, but the College may ask for additional requirements, so please read your offer conditions carefully.

Once you’ve received decisions from all your university choices, you will be asked to choose a firm (first) choice of university and an insurance (second) choice. In most cases you will be required to make this decision by 1st May.
If you are unsuccessful
Competition for places at Imperial is very high, and we are unable to offer a place to many excellent candidates.
We would recommend that candidates check the departmental entry requirements carefully, which are listed on the online prospectus course pages. If, unfortunately, you fall below these requirements we will be unable to offer you a place.
Our selection process page gives additional details and advice on the criteria we use when shortlising candidates. Every application will be considered equally by the College and decisions are final.
Requesting a deferral
If your circumstances change, and you would like to defer your offer to the following academic year, please make contact with us as soon as possible.
Although we would hope to be able to accommodate most deferral requests, unfortunately it may not always be possible to do so.
Please be aware that if you are granted a deferral you will have to meet all of your offer conditions by the deadline set out in your offer.
