Due to the Met Office’s red warning for extreme heat in London in place over 24 and 25 June, we have made the difficult decision that Imperial’s Open Days will not go ahead as planned this week.
The health and safety of visitors, students and staff is of the utmost importance to us and this difficult decision has been taken by the university leadership with that guiding principle in mind.
Please do not travel to campus for the events.
The university has circulated advice to all staff, giving advice on this exceptional period of hot and humid weather. Please keep yourself safe this week and follow the NHS guidelines to take care in the heat.
As an immediate alternative, we’ll be running online Open Day talks via MS Teams this Thursday 25 June.
This will be followed up with arrangements and new event dates for on-campus events once confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding and support in these challenging circumstances. We recommend enquiring with your travel provider regarding the conditions of travel for any pre-booked tickets to London.
