Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
Have an offer of admission to a Bioengineering Master’s course (MSc or MRes) for Autumn 2026 by Tuesday 31 March 2026.
Be a UK-domiciled student (including Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland) with Home fee status.
Not have previously completed a Master’s degree (including integrated Master’s) or a PhD at Imperial or any other institution.
Have received a maintenance grant or higher-rate maintenance loan during your undergraduate studies.
Be eligible to apply for a Master’s student loan towards cost of tuition fees – Master's Loan: Overview - GOV.UK
Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Receive an offer of admission for 2026 entry by Wednesday 25 March 2026.
Firmly accept your offer by the scholarship application deadline.
Complete our Scholarship application form by the deadline of Tuesday 31 March 2026.
Additional information
Shortlisting: Interviews are likely to take place during the week commencing 20 April 2026.
Outcome: Successful candidates will be notified by email no later than Friday 1 May 2026.
This scholarship is for students starting in 2026/27 and cannot be deferred or transferred.
All scholarships are subject to students accepting the award Terms and Conditions.
If you haven’t heard from us by Monday 20 April 2026, please assume your application was unsuccessful.
Funding provides a tuition fee top-up for successful candidates if the UK Government-funded Master's Loan does not cover full tuition fees.
