Eligibility criteria
The scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following conditions by the deadline of 11:59pm (UK local time), Tuesday 31st March 2026:
1. Be Female and/or of an underrepresented minority ethnicity (within the Department of Mechanical Engineering)
2. Possess a Home fee status
3. Have an offer of admission from the College to study a full-time undergraduate course in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering commencing in 2026/27
4. Demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential (through your UCAS application)
5. Demonstrate a strong motivation to pursue a career within Formula 1® or the wider motorsports industry (through your scholarship application)
As determined by College, the following ethnicities are underrepresented within the Department of Mechanical Engineering:

Application process
How to apply:
- Apply and have an offer of admission from the College to study a full-time undergraduate course in the Department of Mechanical Engineering commencing in 2026/27 by 11:59pm (UK local time) on Tuesday 31st March 2026.
- Complete the scholarship application form by 11:59pm (UK local time) on Tuesday 31st March 2026.
Applicants who meet the required conditions will be ranked by the Department of Mechanical Engineering based on the criteria above.

Value of the Award
There is one scholarship available that covers tuition fees and provides a maintenance stipend of £16,275 per year. The award is for a maximum of 4 years, excluding repeat periods of study.
Outcome
The successful candidate will be notified of the outcome no later than 31st July 2026. If you have not heard from us by this date, please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.
This award is for students starting in the academic year 2026/27 and cannot be deferred. All scholarships are awarded subject to students accepting award Terms and Conditions. Please note that the award is conditional upon you receiving an unconditional offer to study at Imperial by September 2026. Continuation of a Scholarship is subject to the scholar maintaining satisfactory academic progress as defined by Imperial.
The successful scholar may be expected to meet informally with the donors on occasions, participate in events surrounding this scholarship, or be required to submit a short statement of progress that will be shared with the donors.
