Course specific information
HealthBRIDGE is a new 4-year (1+3) PhD training initiative funded through the Medical Research Council Doctoral Landscape Award (DLA) scheme. Students wishing to apply to HealthBRIDGE must have research interests in one or more of the Medical Research Council strategic priority areas.
Training includes a foundation year with lab rotations and a choice of training pathway (Biomedical Research, Data Science or Entrepreneurship), followed by a 3-year PhD. Studentships are fully funded by the UKRI with an enhanced stipend during years 2 to 4. HealthBRIDGE PhD projects are student-led meaning that students design their projects with help from potential PhD supervisors.
Please read the information on the HealthBRIDGE website and the FAQs to check if this training initiative is right for you. Information about the funding for successful students can be found here.
Application process
Please carefully follow the instructions on the How to Apply webpage. HealthBRIDGE does not accept CVs, personal statements or research proposals at the initial application stage.
