Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be resident citizens of the Occupied Palestinian Territories and currently employed by a Palestinian partner university. They must also be nominated by their university and provide a written commitment to return and work there after completing their PhD, for a duration agreed upon with their institution. Alternative provisions may be considered for scholars from Gaza.
Additionally, candidates must hold a recent IELTS certificate with a score that meets the requirements of their chosen programme at Imperial.
Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.
Application process
1. Applicants must complete and submit the official HESPAL online application form, including all required supporting documents, by the stated deadline. These documents include certified proof of Palestinian nationality and residency, academic transcripts, a valid IELTS certificate, and details of two academic referees.

2. Applicants are required to explore their potential project with a proposed supervisor at Imperial College London prior to applying. Contact details for individual academics are available on the University website.
3. Candidates for a Scholarship at Imperial College London should complete the university's application form for PhD study, and provide the necessary additional documentation.
