Eligibility criteria

The bursary is open to students who:

  • Have an offer of admission to study a full-time BSc or MSci in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering

  • Are facing a significant financial barrier to participating in higher education

  • Have completed the bursary application process by 11:59 pm (UK local time) on Friday 29th May 2026

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Course specific information

Available for full-time undergraduate study (BSc or MSci) in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering

Application process

To apply, candidates must:

  1. Hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study a BSc or MSci in the Department of Earth Science and Engineering

  2. Complete the Rocky Fund Bursary Application Form by 11:59 pm (UK local time) on Friday 30th May 2025

    Applications will be assessed based on academic merit/potential and the information provided in the application form.

Additional information

 

  • Applications will be reviewed following the release of UK A Level results (mid-August)
  • Successful applicants will be notified no later than four weeks after results are released
  • If you have not heard from us by that time, please assume your application was unsuccessful
