Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, candidates must have attained the conditions below by Friday 29th May 2026:

  • Have an offer of admissions from the university to study a four-year full-time undergraduate course from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Autumn 2026;

  • Be female;

  • Demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential.

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Course specific information

Please note that only undergraduate MEng courses within the Department of Mechanical Engineering are eligible for this scholarship.

Application process

There is no separate application form that you need to complete in order to apply for this scholarship. However, you must submit a UCAS application form for your course of study in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and have an offer of admission by the deadline of 11:59pm (UK local time), Friday 29th May 2026.

 

The Department will assess your academic merit from your predicted A-Level results and your UCAS application form. The Department will rank applicants and make the final selection from the shortlist.

Value of the Award

There is one scholarship available. The scholarships covers £15,000 per year, to be used towards maintenance costs. The award is for a maximum of 4 years, excluding repeat periods of study.

As part of this scholarship, the donor can assist the successful scholar with regular meetings with Trigon Directors and provide support as mentors. The donor can also offer a guaranteed summer placement (typically from 4 to 12 weeks) if the scholar chooses to do this. The placement will be paid and would take place in their Richmond Office, should the scholar wish to gain working experience in fire safety sector.

Outcome

The successful candidate will be notified of the outcome no later than 31st July 2026. If you have not heard from us by this date, please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.

 

This award is for students starting in the academic year 2026/27 and cannot be deferred. All scholarships are awarded subject to students accepting award Terms and Conditions. Please note that the award is conditional upon you receiving an unconditional offer to study at Imperial by September 2026. Continuation of a Scholarship is subject to the scholar maintaining satisfactory academic progress as defined by Imperial.

 

The successful scholar may be expected to meet informally with the donors on occasions, participate in events surrounding this scholarship, or be required to submit a short statement of progress that will be shared with the donors.
