Eligibility criteria

The Department of Bioengineering offers a limited number of MRes scholarships worth £4,999, open to all students regardless of country of origin. You do not need to apply separately for these scholarships, we will automatically consider all applications received by Wednesday 11 March 2026. Selection is primarily based on academic merit.

Every applicant is considered based on academic merit and prospect by our department panel. 

Additional information

Successful applicants will receive a one-off cash bursary of £4,999 not to be applied towards tuition fees.
