Eligibility criteria

To be eligible you must:

  • Have an offer of admission on a Bioengineering Master’s course (MSc or MRes) for study in Autumn 2026 by Tuesday 31 March 2026
  • Be a UK Home student
  • Have a household income of £42,875 or less
  • Be from a background underrepresented at postgraduate level

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Application process

  • Apply for a Bioengineering Master’s course (MSc or MRes)
  • Submit your application by the course deadline
  • Receive an offer of a place for 2026 entry by Wednesday 25 March 2026
  • Firmly accept the offer by the scholarship application deadline
  • Complete the Scholarship application form by Tuesday 31 March 2026

Additional information

  • Interviews are likely to take place week commencing 20 April 2026
  • Awarded candidates will be notified by Friday 1 May 2026
  • If you have not heard by Monday 20 April 2026, please assume you have been unsuccessful.

    The award is for 2026–27 entry and cannot be deferred or transferred
