Eligibility criteria
This scholarship is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Hold (or expect to obtain) a First Class Honours degree or Distinction at Master’s level (or international equivalent) in a relevant field such as engineering, design, or a scientific discipline
In exceptional cases, applicants with a 2:1 (Merit) at Master’s level and substantial research or industry experience may also be considered
Must be applying for a new PhD programme in the Department of Design Engineering (continuing students are not eligible)

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

This scholarship is specifically for PhD study within the Department of Design Engineering. Applicants must apply to one of the department’s listed PhD projects
