Eligibility criteria

Imperial College London is offering scholarships in partnership with Instituto Trajetórias, to up to eight Brazilian students admitted to a one-year full-time on campus Master's course for the 2026-27 academic year.

 

The standard requirements to apply to Trajetórias-Imperial Funding Program scholarships are:

1) Be a Brazilian citizen (by birth or naturalization);

2) Hold an official letter of acceptance from Imperial College London a partner university; meeting all the University requirements, such as: strong academic record; submission of a motivation letter, etc. 

3) Fulfill any additional requirements set by state-level scholarship selection processes. Detailed information on eligibility criteria, scholarship deadline and the selection process will be published in February 2026 on the  Instituto Trajetórias website

 

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Course specific information

Applicants can apply to any one-year full-time on campus Master's course level programme, excluding the joint MA (RCA) / MSc Global Innovation Design (GID) or any other jointly run course of study.

Application process

To apply for the Trajetórias-Imperial Funding Program scholarships, follow the two steps below:

1) Step 1: Apply for any one-year full-time on campus Master's course level programme through My Imperial

IMPORTANT:

●   In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must hold an offer of admissions by Monday, 20 April 2026.  

●   The joint MA (RCA) / MSc Global Innovation Design (GID) or any other jointly run course of study are not eligible

●   Some departments have application rounds for the postgraduate taught courses, with fixed application dates throughout the year.  Some departments require you to apply by January 2026 to get a decision by March 2026.  Please check carefully the Deadlines page for further information

●   Application fee - If you’re applying for a postgraduate course at Imperial, you may need to pay an application fee. You can find more information on application fees and check if you're eligible for an application fee waiver on the Application Fee page.

2) Step 2:  Apply for the scholarship via the Instituto Trajetórias website. Detailed information on eligibility criteria, scholarship deadline and the selection process will be published in February 2026 on the Instituto Trajetórias webpage

Trajetórias provides financial support to students through two main mechanisms:

1. Partnership with local governments: Trajetórias signed agreements with Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás, Recife, Paraná, Espírito Santo and ENAP - Escola Nacional de Administração Pública, to offer scholarships for public servants and with Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás and Espírito Santo for general public. Applications are expected to open in February 2026. Students may apply for Instituto Trajetórias funding before receiving an offer to study at Imperial, but as part of their application they must demonstrate that they have at least begun an application for an eligible master's programme. To be considered for the programme, applicants must hold an unconditional offer from Imperial by 20 April 2026.

 

2.  Credit line:  In partnership with financial institutions, this line of credit helps Brazilian students bridge funding gaps for studying abroad. It can be used to cover tuition fees and living expenses. Find more information here.

 

Additional information

Value of the scholarship

Imperial College London will cover 20% of tuition fees for a maximum of eight eligible students selected as beneficiaries.  The 8 selected will be notified by the end of June 2026.

 

Instituto Trajetórias’ partners will provide up to USD20,000 (twenty thousand dollars) which may be flexibly used for tuition fees and living expenses and up to USD10,000 (ten thousand dollars) to cover costs such as return travel, living and health insurance, visa and settling- in expenses. Further details will be available on the Instituto Trajetórias website in February
