Terms of reference

This committee will be the link to the equivalent committee at College level and this structure, the route to promulgate and action College initiatives on equality, diversity, inclusion and culture (EDIC) within the Faculty.

Specifically, the committee’s remit will be:

  • To actively engage students and staff with maintaining and developing a culture that supports a good work life balance, our College values and is supportive and respectful of all.
  • To act as a conduit for disseminating information and gathering feedback.
  • To identify potential barriers to access to opportunity and equality, diversity, inclusion and departmental culture issues.
  • To develop proposed actions that address EDIC issues faced by the Faculty.
  • To provide support and guidance to departmental Athena SWAN self-assessment teams.
  • To oversee delivery of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Culture related action plans across the Faculty
