RemePhy is turning the 15 billion tonnes of soil annually polluted by metals from mining into usable land - 15 times more efficiently than traditional clean-up methods.
RemePhy improves the phytoremediation process by harnessing the symbiotic relationship between bacteria and plants to provide a sustainable, circular solution - allowing contaminated land to be repurposed for agriculture, housing, and rewilding. Their patented biotechnology boosts a naturally occurring bacterium to help plants more effectively extract heavy metals from the soil. Harvesting the plants removes the metal and allows the biomass to be recycled, making remediation cleaner but also profitable.
