ChemEng Enterprise: tackling global challenges a spinout at a time

Join us on Wednesday 29 April 2026, 10.30 to 18.00 at Imperial College London, for ChemEng Enterprise Day 2026, hosted by the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial - recently recognised as the Outstanding Entrepreneurial University at the 2025 Times Higher Education Awards.

In the last 6 years ChemEng Enterprise launched 1 out of 6 deep tech spinouts from Imperial in the materials, energy, climate tech and biotech areas, at a world-class rate of 1 spinout per £10.3m R&D, with >£40m raised in grants and equity.

This invitation-only gathering brings together selected early-stage investors, alumni, and mentors with our entrepreneurs, and offers a unique opportunity to build meaningful, long-term partnerships within a highly curated network. ParkWalk Advisors, Amadeus Capital, Albion Capital Partners, HSBC, the Earthshot Prize and Amazon Web Services are amongst those already signed up.

Proceedings will be opened by Imperial’s President, Hugh Brady. Participants will gain first-hand insight into our breakthrough deep tech technologies through short founder presentations, explore a strong pipeline of upcoming ventures, and engage directly with founders teams. Some of the teams are currently looking at Seed and Series A investment.

A programme outline is on ChemEng programme for Enterprise Day 2026.

If you are interested in attending or would like to learn more, please get in touch with our Programme Manager, Geetanjali Bathina: g.bathina@imperial.ac.uk

The event will be closed by our Inaugural Distinguished Enterprise Lecture, a part of the Department of Chemical Engineering's Distinguished Seminar Series. The lecture, 'Building climate innovation platforms at scale – a perspective from the Global South' is delivered by Nalin Agarwal, Founding Partner and CEO of the Climate Collective (South Asia’s largest climate tech startup support platform).

This part of the event is open to all and free, however due to popular demand, separate registration is needed
