E-Rebat is developing an electro-recycling system to recover critical materials such as lithium, nickel, manganese, copper, and cobalt from spent lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). We have demonstrated we achieve very high purity and recovery in a single pass, delivering significant performance gains and cost reductions relative to existing recycling processes and primary mineral extraction.

The technology is adaptable to different battery chemistries, including emerging sodium-ion batteries, offering flexibility and a future-ready solution. Our electro-recycling technology is applicable to EVs, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics.

We are currently demonstrating the scalability of the technology with an industrial partner, expanding validation with industrial waste, and accelerate commercialisation through stakeholder engagement, techno-economic and life-cycle analysis, and spin-out formation.
