Brilliant Dyes team pictured at the H&M Global Awards

The company produce a non-toxic, biodegradable alternative to synthetic dyes using a natural pigment from algae in a patented process. Their low-cost, energy-efficient extraction process aims to make sustainable dyes more accessible and commercially viable, reducing pollution and cutting emissions in the fashion industry. Winners of the 2025 H&M Global Change Award, they were also selected for the Undaunted Greenhouse programme and won an Innovate UK research grant to help further develop their technology. In 2025 Brilliant Dyes were Finalist in two global awards: the IChemE Global Awards 2025 and the IFSCC Congress 2025 Sustainability Challenge. Radman was also selected for a prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering Fellowship.
