Getting here
Imperial Lates evenings are largely step free and are located at Imperial College London in South Kensington. Visitors are encouraged to travel by public transport where possible, and we recommend that you visit the TFL website to find the best accessible route.
Public Transport
Rail and Underground
South Kensington is the nearest underground station to Exhibition Road. This station is approximately 550m to Exhibition Road and is served by the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines. South Kensington station is not step free.
Gloucester Road Underground Station is approximately 700m to Exhibition Road. This is served by the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines and has a lift, but is not step free from the platform to lift.
West Brompton, approximately 2.3km away, has partial step-free access and is served by the District Line, London Overground and West London Line.
Bus
The 360 bus route will stop directly outside Imperial Lates on Exhibition Road (at stands K and L). Other bus routes that can be used are 430, 14 and 345.
Step free access
The nearest underground station offering step-free access from street to train is Green Park Station – from here, you can take the number 9 bus to the Festival site.
Parking
There are blue badge parking spaces located near the Imperial Lates site. There are 12 blue badge parking spaces located on Exhibition Road. These spaces are managed by the councils, for more information please see the council websites for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the City of Westminster.
Visitors can also pre-book to park on the Imperial College London South Kensington Campus. To book a space please email lates@imperial.ac.uk by 12.00 the day before parking is required with your name, vehicle registration and your time of arrival. Spaces are limited.
Accessible Toilets
All-gender wheelchair-accessible toilets are located across the Imperial Lates site.
You will find accessible toilets in the City and Guilds Building Foyer and on the Ground Floor of The Business School.
All accessible toilets are gender neutral.
Seating
The Lates are largely standing only, although seating is available across the site, particularly in the Main Entrance.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome at Imperial Lates. Dogs must be suitably trained, supervised, and remain on a lead, tabard, or harness throughout your visit.

Live captioned shows
There will be a two live captioned talks at each Imperial Lates. Please see the programme to find out which talks are live captioned at each Lates.
Ear Plugs
We understand that some parts of the Lates can be loud, especially for visitors with sensory sensitivities. You can pick up free ear plugs from the information desk.
Hearing Loops
Talks are often held in LT200, which has a hearing loop and a Sennheiser system which connects via WIFI. The Business School lecture theatres do not have hearing loops, but they do have the Sennheiser system. Each lecture theatre has a QR code available to scan to connect to the device.
Calm space – Lower Ground Business School
The calm space can be used by visitors and staff who need a private area away from the public, whether to escape the hustle and bustle of the event or to avoid any sounds, triggers or experiences that are making them feel anxious or overwhelmed. It will be fully staffed at all times with mental health first aiders on site across Imperial Lates.
