Windows 10 is no longer supported by Microsoft. All Imperial devices running Windows 10 that can run Windows 11 should be upgraded using one of the methods below.

Check your device is eligible for Windows 11

  1. Type About in the search box on your Windows taskbar.
  2. Select About your PC.
  3. Check the processor details under Device Specifications. If your device is running an Intel processor which is 7th generation or below*, your device will not be able to run Windows 11 and you will need to request a replacement device via your ICT Departmental Contact.

*check the number displayed before the word Gen, e.g. 10th Gen, 11th Gen. The numbers displayed after the i, e.g. i5 or i7 do not indicate if your device is eligible for Windows 11.
