Splunk On-Call

Splunk On-Call is used for processing alerts from existing monitoring tools. It supports rotas and escalations to ensure the correct support personnel are contacted and a prompt response is obtained. Notification methods include app-based alerts as well as text messages (SMS), phone calls, and emails

When should I use Splunk On-Call? 

If you have a requirement to implement a staff rota (e.g. weekly or daily), then On Call can manage that and be integrated with 3rd party tools to provide an automated call out capability.
